The government is adding another element to the home creation program, which is additional help for families with children. From October, you can apply for the green-chocolate loan, which provides significant financial assistance to families for the construction of new energy-saving homes, and thus also contributes to the fulfillment of climate protection and energy efficiency goals. The government decree containing the details was published in the Magyar Közlöny on Friday.

As part of the HUF 200 billion NHP Green Home Program announced by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, starting on October 4, loans can be taken for the construction and purchase of new green homes at a maximum interest rate of 2.5% and up to HUF 70 million.

The government is currently giving interest subsidies to families with several children who claim a family home building discount (CSOK) for building or buying a home and take out a mortgage loan on a market basis. Thus, they only have to pay a maximum of 3% interest - up to HUF 10 million in the case of 2 children, and HUF 15 million in the case of 3 or more children - the part above this is taken over by the state.

At the same time, it is extremely important for the government that families with several children have access to financing related to green homes under the best possible conditions. Therefore, those parents with children who purchase or build their new, green home within the framework of the NHP Green Home Program, up to the mentioned amount of 10/15 million HUF - in the case of using CSOK - instead of the maximum interest rate of 2.5% they will be entitled to interest exemption , because the budget reimburses them for this interest.

The purpose of the financing related to the creation of green homes is to build even more energy-efficient homes for Hungarian families. The scheme with a reduced interest rate is available from October 4 at domestic credit institutions.
