- Paolo Gentiloni, the European Union commissioner responsible for economic affairs, admitted at Tuesday's meeting of the finance ministers of the EU member states (Ecofin) that the European Commission is withholding funds for Hungary aimed at recovery after the coronavirus epidemic "due to educational discrimination", Enikő Győri stated , Fidesz EU parliamentarian, speaking to MTI on Wednesday in Strasbourg.

The representative also said that her last personal conversation with Gentiloni took place at the Ecofin meeting in December, where the Commissioner stated that there is no, because there cannot be, a connection between cases that do not have financial consequences under national competence and the recovery resources.

Compared to all this, the nail came out of the bag at Tuesday's meeting: the EU Commission violates the law, commits a discriminatory act of sabotage, and plays a political game. He kept it a secret until now, but now he has admitted it: he connects cases that could not be connected either on the basis of the EU treaties or the legislation on the recovery fund - stated Enikő Győri.
