In addition to their houses, the deported Germans were also robbed of their homeland, which is irreparable and unacceptable, said the state secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Affairs (KKM) responsible for information and the international presentation of Hungary on Sunday in Budaörs, Pest County.

Tamás Menczer , who is also a parliamentary candidate for the ruling party in the region, spoke at the commemoration held on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the expulsion of the Germans from Hungary in Budaörs in 1946, saying that the displacement of the Germans is unforgettable, unfortunately it cannot be changed, but there is still room for action nowadays. Action nowadays, according to the government's understanding, means that all nationalities must be helped to keep their language, culture, customs, and traditions.

Since 2010, the government has supported German communities in Hungary with HUF 28 billion. Tamás Menczer stressed: the Germans in Hungary can always count on this government to be able to stay and live as a living community. He added that the cultures of Hungary and Swabia were woven together like a living fabric and strengthen each other even today.

"Everything that is lost impoverishes us all, and everything that remains enriches us all," said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Imre Ritter , the representative of the German nationality in the parliament, said that all knowledge, knowledge, memories and experiences should be passed on to the young people. He added that in the past, when he visited the relatives of the evicted, they would ask him what was at home for a long time, and as time went by, they would only say, "I have no other wish but to die at home."
