Life is a play, the old saying goes, and so it is true as both evolve. Is it developing? Let's say it changes.

In the old days, there were really great actors, stars, and movie stars for whom the authors wrote plays, and the directors staged this - standing in the background - with beautiful sets.

Then the world changed.

The new directors came, who declared that there was no need for sets, costumes were unnecessary, only the chosen actor and what he said was important. So from now on, the remaining actors had to play what and how the director told and prescribed for them. So modern art was born, hallelujah!

Although the director remained in the background at that time, he now had the main role, and wilder and wilder plays were created along increasingly crazy themes. Theater art developed, as they called it at the time: theater culture!

From there, it only took one step for these brainwashed directors to step out from behind the scenes and stand in front of the curtain. Out into the light, because they no longer needed actors, only ticket collectors and spectators. If they raise their right hand, they expect the audience to laugh, and if they raise their left hand, they expect them to sob. This is how the new directors stand today, commanding furiously at the height of their power, waving their arms up and down.

All this is just like in real life. Because even in the old days, there were real, large-format politicians who were the stars of life's stage, and the community looked up to them in amazement. And the banks and the multi-millionaires - in other words, the directors of the stage of life - were still maneuvering in the background, "behind the curtains" as politics allowed.

Then the modern world was born, the 20th and then the 21st came. century, and this world also began to change - like its reflection, the modern theater - took shape, as they said: "evolved". In this way, there was no longer a need for other actors and stars on the stage of life, i.e. the politicians and representatives of the countries, only the great directors. This is how the banks and the giants of the economy took over the leadership. Now they were in control, but there was still a need for gray eminences, the politicians, who - like figures in a puppet theater - moved and acted as dictated by "above". And with this, the modern economy was born, and with it the society of globalization.

Then, just like on stage, the "directors" got bored of staying in the background and wanted to step out into the light, onto the podium. What do we politicians, they asked, do we need from them? And look, it's all happening right in front of our eyes today!

Because how did it start? In Greece, Giorgos Papandreou was replaced, and a new government was formed in his place by the former vice president of the European Central Bank, Loukas Papademos. Silvio Berlusconi was also dismissed in Italy, and a former EU commissioner was able to form a government... And it has been going on like this ever since. Day by day, performance by performance.

The powerful directors, the banks and the billionaires have now stepped out in front of the curtain, and they really don't need politicians, because they have become them. Their time has come. If they raise their right hand, we can laugh, if they raise their left hand, we cry. Just like in the theater.

However, there is one big difference: in the theater, if the audience gets tired of the performance, they simply take their hats and go home. But where can we go in the theater of life if we are satisfied with the crazy performance of the self-proclaimed world solvers?
