With the support of the Hungarian state, the Castle Bastion Association of Temesvár bought on Thursday the Hungarian House in the heart of the city, which was built ten years after the Trianon decision for the cultural associations and political representation of the city's Hungarians.

According to Temesvári Rádió, the sales contract was signed on Thursday by the representatives of the current owner of the building, Timpress Rt., and the Várbástya Association.

Péter Tamás, the president of the Várbástya Association, told MTI: the three-story office building with a usable area of about 1,800 square meters will once again serve the purposes of the Hungarians of Bánság and Temesvár in accordance with its original purpose. According to the community leader, who also holds the post of Hungary's honorary consul in Temesvár, the regaining of the building sends a message to all Transylvanian Hungarians that you have to believe and fight, and that dreams do come true.
