Tamás Menczer, the State Secretary responsible for information and the international presentation of Hungary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, rejected the criticism of Slovakian Parliament Speaker Boris Kollár regarding Hungary.

Boris Kollár - as we wrote about it here earlier in the day - spoke in a televised debate on Sunday afternoon about the fact that the Russian aggression in Ukraine could reorganize the European peace system to such an extent that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán could soon "parcel up" Slovakia by taking advantage of it. Kollár repeatedly spoke about the threat from Hungary in the program.

They talk about Great Hungary, they buy real estate from us, they hand out passports! It's not a joke! The undermining of the international system by the Russians also threatens the sovereignty of Slovakia, and Viktor Orbán can take advantage of this in time

- said the leader of the conservative party Család Vagyunk, which participates in the Slovak four-party government coalition.

The president of the Slovak National Council probably overlooked the calendar, we respectfully draw Boris Kollár's attention to the fact that the 21st we live in the 20th century - responded Tamás Menczer.

As he emphasized in his Facebook post: in the past decade, we have worked very hard to ensure that the cooperation between Hungary and Slovakia continues to develop, so that both countries benefit from it. We have achieved good results together, and we are ready to further build our relations within the framework of the European Union, of which we have both been members for a long time.

The Szövetsé Felvidék Hungarian party expressed its indignation more harshly.

By saying this, the country's second highest public dignitary crossed all boundaries.

The speaker should know that this statement can not only worsen the Slovak-Hungarian interstate relations, but what is more important for us: it can adversely affect the Hungarian community in Slovakia, as well as the peaceful coexistence of Slovaks and Hungarians in our country - they responded.
