The Hungarian left is always on the side of the war, it risks that Hungary could drift into this terrible conflict, said Tamás Deutsch, head of the Fidesz European Parliament (EP) delegation, on Kossuth radio's Sunday Newspaper program.

Tamás Deutsch, explaining the words of the opposition Bence Tordai urging arms shipments to Ukraine, spoke about the fact that the left is pro-war.

In the interview, the EP representative also spoke about the fact that the Hungarian left must acknowledge that the voters have set minimum standards in the past decade that all actors in public life, political parties and communities must meet.

Tamás Deutsch said: he was justified in expressing his opinion on the disastrous election performance of the Hungarian left with "sufficient determination, conciseness, honesty and harshness" on social media, because almost three weeks have passed since the parliamentary elections, but apparently they do not face what happened.

The government politician highlighted:

according to the unwritten rules of public life, it would be minimally expected that if Hungarian voters "reject someone so clearly and clearly", then the leaders of the left-wing political parties would take responsibility, but they "didn't even offer to resign".

The period that has passed since the elections is proof that they want to continue everything unchanged on the left as they did their own political activities until the third of April, said Tamás Deutsch.

He added: the last three weeks also made it clear that

"the number one leader of the Hungarian left, Ferenc Gyurcsány".

According to Tamás Deutsch, the past few weeks have also been about the fact that the left, which has suffered a historic defeat, is demanding an austerity policy from Fidesz and KDNP, which achieved historic electoral success, and he called it obvious that the left "with less than a third of its representation" also wants a policy of austerity in the parliament wants to represent.

For example, the head of the EP delegation of the largest governing party stated that, due to the "runaway" energy prices in Hungary, utility reduction is being charged in Hungary.

stressing that overhead reduction must be protected.

Tamás Deutsch also touched on the point: it poisons Hungarian public life and public discourse, if people who run for elections in order to earn the citizens' trust and take on a public role take pleasure in how they can harass, insult, hurt and look down on Hungarian citizens with selected rudeness.

"It is our dogmatic duty to protect Hungarian voters against such statements, regardless of gender, race, or political opinion," he said. He added: instead of insults, it would be worthwhile to participate in Hungarian public life out of respect for Hungarian citizens.

Tamás Deutsch noted: it must be respected that patriotism is a feeling that exists in Hungary and exists in reality, and Hungarian voters consider it important what the country's fate is. They want to keep their country sovereign, independent, free and independent, the national bond between Hungarians is strong and determined, and any political effort that tries to weaken this will be rejected, he pointed out.

According to the head of the Fidesz EP delegation, "some kind of cooperation", cooperation for the sake of great national goals, could be established between a government with a parliamentary majority of more than two-thirds and an opposition that "does not even have a one-third representation" if they could do so within this national minimum match.

However, Tamás Deutsch sees that the Hungarian left is not characterized by national thought, national commitment, and sensitivity to the cause of patriotism.
