Last spring, four million euros "unnoticed" landed in the joint bank account of Stella Kyriakídisz of Cyprus, the health commissioner in charge of vaccine procurement, with her husband.

More than 100,000 signatures have already been collected in the petition - Actions.sumofus.org/pages/von-der-leyen-und-biontech/ - in which European citizens demand that the chief guardian of contracts, the President of the European Commission, disclose Pfizer's – his exchanges with the head of the BioNTech concern. It is about 35-36 billion euros, the amount of which the European Commission ordered the vaccine against Covid-19 from the company, driving a profit of thousands of euros per second to the kitchen of Pfizer-BioNTech. With the collection of signatures, they want to exert social pressure on Ursula von der Leyen, because all inquiries and requests for investigations on the subject so far have proved fruitless.

The story is long, dating back to the time when the European Union wanted to jointly "sanction" the coronavirus epidemic. They decided to centrally order the vaccine deemed best by their experts for and in the interest of the people of Europe. Let's vaccinate together, equally, on a transnational basis, whatever it costs, money, human life, socio-economic crisis, it doesn't matter!

Pfizer, one of the famous American Big Pharma companies, promised to be the best. They immediately realized the enormous profit potential inherent in the vaccine and sought partners for the ultra-fast development of the vaccine. On behalf of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the vaccine tests were carried out by the American company Organesis, also specialized in mRNA technology. BioNTech from Germany, which produces the vaccine, became the third pillar of the global project.

At first, the central order stalled, as the preferred German production company had to switch to the new technology. It also didn't matter that the long-term effects of the vaccine were unknown and the production process violated all the requirements of the international drug protocol. It was an emergency.

The European Medicines Agency did not approve other (traditional) types of vaccines, and they could not be bought from the Russians under economic embargo or from the unreliable Chinese. Instead, they recommended the Pfizer vaccine and similar Anglo-American preparations, all with appropriate media and political backing. The first Pfizer we received was given to the teachers so that the "enlightened" part of them could not reject the vaccine on purely political grounds.

Returning to the transnational epidemic management: last spring, four million euros (almost one and a half billion forints) landed unnoticed in the bank account of Stella Kyriakídisz of Cyprus, the commissioner of health entrusted with the procurement of vaccines, with her husband, and she was the most surprised. The Cypriots were not surprised at all, because they knew Stella well.

In the meantime, countless production lines were completed, and Pfizer–BioNTech delivered three billion vaccines to the world in 2021, for 12 euros each. Ursula von der Leyen personally kept in touch with the head of the company, Albert Bourla, sometimes by phone and sometimes in the form of short text messages, in order to get the European Union ahead of the delivery line. He did not want to entrust this important task to anyone, not even to his fellow Cypriot politician, Stella.

An investigative journalist from Brussels requested the exchange of messages to be made public, citing the EU principle of freedom of information. The commission rejected the request outright, saying that SMS messages are not registered or stored. In Hungarian: they try to get rid of compromising messages. The journalist did not rest and contacted the EU ombuds(wo)man, the Irish Emily O'Reilly, who said that it would be time for the EU public administration to update its document management practices. "This is because text messages are clearly covered by the EU's transparency law, even though they don't have to be registered today," he said.

What a great loophole! If we had such a thing, the breach of duty procedure would already start! Jourová herself defended Von der Leyen and his cabinet, because she found it legal to delete the text messages in question.

Ursula already had a similar scandal when she was German Minister of War. At that time, for "security policy" reasons, he deleted from his mobile phone the exchanges of messages that he had carried out in the case of consulting contracts suspected of corruption. He was about to be cited before the Bundestag in the matter, but his position as president of the European Union exempted him from being held accountable. The parachute operation was organized by his girlfriend, Angela Merkel. This was so successful that, for example, we Hungarians considered Ursula's appointment a success for a long time. After all, from a Hungarian point of view, she had good references, a small fragile woman with seven children and a grandchild, who would think to think badly of her? In addition, his father, the former prime minister of Lower Saxony, had a reputation as a pro-Hungarian politician, and we believed that the feelings were inherited both politically and genetically. We expected support from him.

It is now clear that interest, money and the desire for power override everything. As a family, too. God willing, Ursula's husband, Heiko von der Leyen, has been the medical director and member of the board of directors of the aforementioned American biotechnology company Orgenesis since 2020.

To Organesis, which – what a miracle! – conducted testing of cell-based SARS-CoV vaccines. He is there for five times the salary he earned in Hanover. We could say that he is getting it for his expertise, but it is unlikely, since before his American contract, he specialized in internal medicine and experimental cardiology at the Hanover Medical University.

Lawyer Michael Brunner, head of the only non-politician Austrian party, People, Freedom, Basic Rights (MFG), was very upset about the dream couple's deals. "It would be time for the conflict of interest to also apply to the relatives of those holding political office. Those in positions of responsibility must guarantee that their decisions are made freely, without any external influence, and solely for the benefit of the people. Today's European practice - as is clear from the example of the Von der Leyens - is not like this and cannot continue."

Those in positions of responsibility must not be "tempted". But temptation lurks everywhere. In Brussels, twenty-five thousand well-paid lobbyists (entrepreneurs, associations, NGOs) keep the EU institutions under their influence. They have free access to commissioners, various committees, and MEP representatives. Among the latter, there are many second-time lobbyists. But nobody in Brussels is corrupt, they are just accepted lobbyists. For big kickbacks, well-paying jobs, and foreign interests.

I am curiously waiting for someone to air out the lobby behind the war sanctions, because behind the EU's apparent übermorality are tough financial interests, growing political bank accounts and private assets.
