Energy is needed. Each age, at its own level, needs energy to ensure civilization. And the Good Lord gave us energy carriers from which we can extract and thus operate our earthly world. Better and more efficient.
If we do not use the materials offered by the world, then they have no meaning. If there is no person to eat the cherry, admire the stalactites, make a bracelet out of gold, and create warmth in the home by burning the wood, then these things have no meaning. Although a special breed of environmentalists envisions a world without humans, in which polar bears, Banat peonies and undisturbed hydrocarbon reserves await the doomsday, all beauty and wonder only have meaning if there are humans to notice it all.
Technology is evolving. At first, we obtained energy from wood, water, and wind, then from coal, petroleum, and natural gas. We discovered electricity, nuclear fission. We always tried to choose the best currently available solution. Oil was better than coal, coal was better than wood. There was always a bit of despair, what will happen if the current energy carrier runs out, but then we found a better, more economical one. This is how atomic energy became decisive, followed by solar energy, which seems inexhaustible at the moment.
Since Einstein, we have known that even a very small mass can contain enormous energy.
In the 1970s, it was said that the Earth could support a maximum of six billion people. It turned out to be eight.
The development of agricultural production ensures livelihood; more yield in a smaller area. Today, there are also technologies (hydroponics) that do not require a nutrient medium, only water and various solutions, and tons of vegetables can be produced even in the middle of a city.
In recent decades, the standard of living has increased in all parts of the world, including in Africa. With the increase in the population, the famine did not increase, but rather decreased. The current problems have political causes (Ukraine crisis), which is mainly due to the stupidity of the Western world. God, morality is eternal, unchanging. "Progress" cannot be interpreted in the principles, in the Ten Commandments. Killing, stealing, and lying have always been and always will be a sin. Breaking with the divine order is not more modern. On the contrary, there is progress in technology, which would be foolish to dismiss.
Instead, today's Europe wants to change morality, and in technology it would go back to the Middle Ages.
If, instead of the already invented and already available nuclear energy, we get energy from burning coal again, then logically the electric and diesel locomotives should be replaced by steam locomotives. Instead of a video, let's take a color photo, then black and white, and the goal is a daguerreotype or, ultimately, portrait painting. Instead of computer word processing, a typewriter or pen that can be operated by human power is recommended. (It's true, humans also need energy, but we can solve this for free with crickets and bugs found in the garden.) Use a bicycle or a horse instead of a car, you can comfortably drive down the M7 to Lake Balaton, and if there's a traffic jam, traffic can be diverted to the field. Let's use hot air balloons instead of airplanes, and chiropractors and midwives instead of hospital surgeries.
But if we go back centuries, liberals should expect the Inquisition. Instead of a parliament, there is an orderly assembly, and instead of presidents of the republic, kings rule. Let Columbus sail back, let's leave America to the Indians, let the Negroes stay in Africa.
In harmony with the created world, recognizing God's plans and fulfilling them, man can create fantastic things. However, if you want to make the laws of nature yourself, it will be a dramatic end.
2022 Plus: Paks-II in our picture. the greens are protesting against! If only it were ready! If only they hadn't hindered the construction! Ortega y Gasset indicated 100 years ago that we are all shipwrecked on the ocean of infinity. Now some people have come up with the idea that it is more moral to die of hunger and thirst than to fish in the sea of possibilities that ensure our survival. In the meantime, according to them, our most important concern should be for girls to be able to pee like boys, for us to make ourselves what we think we are, a man, a woman, or perhaps a tapir, and if possible to introduce our children to the mysteries of free sexuality as soon as possible.
God created man free, but otherwise normal, in his own image. And He gave the universe to have inexhaustible resources. Finally, we should deal with things worthy of human beings!
