On a national average, there is a further increase in the concentration of SARS-CoV-2 genetic material in wastewater. A rising trend can be seen in the examined settlements of the Budapest agglomeration: Tököl, Biatorbágy, Szigetszentmiklós, Budakeszin, Százhalombatta, as well as Győr, Kaposvár, Kecskemét, Pécs, Szeged, Szekszárd, Szolnok, Szombathely and Tatabány. In the other examined settlements, the trend is stagnant. The concentration of SARS-CoV-2 genetic material falls into the elevated category in the case of 19 sampling locations, and in the moderate category in 3 sampling locations.

The virus puts the unvaccinated people at greatest risk, so we still ask them to get vaccinated. We still recommend receiving the third booster vaccination for those who received the previous vaccination more than 4 months ago. The fourth vaccination is recommended primarily for the elderly and those belonging to the risk group.
