The "Regional workforce support for companies" program has been launched, in which employers can receive a maximum of HUF 150,000 monthly non-refundable support for newly hired job seekers registered in rural areas. With the option that opens on August 15, 2022, the state can take over three quarters of the gross salary and social contribution tax from those living.

The target group of the "Regional workforce support for companies" program is those under the age of 25, career starters between the ages of 25 and 30, over 50 with no more than a basic education, and jobseekers who have been registered for at least 6 months. However, support can also be granted to those who have left public employment for no more than 30 days, have a changed ability to work, are raising small children, receive care allowances, or live in one of the small rural settlements listed in the documentation.

In the case of the employment of a job seeker who can be classified in at least one of the above groups, the amount of the subsidy is half of the gross salary charged to the employer and the social contribution tax actually transferred. If the newly hired employee meets several of the listed criteria, the company can request support of up to 75 percent of the gross salary and allowance. The employer may receive a maximum of HUF 150,000 monthly wage subsidy for a jobseeker for a maximum of six months in the case of a full working time of 8 hours per day.

The new program is available in all parts of the country, in all rural regions, apart from Budapest and Pest county. In Central Hungary, it is still possible to apply for Enterprise workforce support, thanks to a total of HUF 32 billion state contribution, around 50,000 jobseekers have already been placed across the country.

The From Public Employment to the Private Sector program will also reopen from today, as well as housing and travel support for job seekers. Details of the subsidies can be found on the munka.hu employment portal.
