On October 21, the police raided the well-known fashion designer Zoltán Herczeg.

The man's arrest was ordered on Sunday, as a significant amount of drug-suspicious substances were found in his apartment, Magyar Hang learned. The court ordered the arrest of fashion designer Zoltán Herczeg for one month, i.e. until November 23. The reason: not to influence other parties involved in the case. This is not yet final, because the prosecutor and one of the lawyers have appealed.

At its Sunday session, the Buda Central District Court ordered the arrest of one person for one month - until November 23, 2022 - and rejected the prosecutor's motion to arrest another person in a criminal case in which both defendants are suspected of the crime of drug trafficking - this was announced by Magyar Hang at the request of the Metropolitan Court.

As it was reported, the prosecutor's office asked for the arrest of both of them due to drug trafficking, while the defenders wanted to reject the prosecutor's motion and order a milder coercive measure. According to the court, the condition for ordering the coercive measure existed only for one of the defendants: in his case, it can be reasonably assumed that he would jeopardize the evidence, and thus, in particular, he would unlawfully influence the person participating in the criminal proceedings or another person.

According to the court's information, the court established a well-founded suspicion of the crime of drug trafficking in one of the defendants, while in the case of the other, only drug possession. Of the seized drugs, only the 100 grams of marijuana found on one of the suspects was found to be more than a small amount. The order is not final, as the prosecutor, as well as one of the suspects and his lawyer, have filed an appeal against it.

The fashion designer admitted to consumption, but denied dealing in drugs during his interrogation.
