According to Kevin Bossuet, Macron is making the mistake of playing European. In such a situation, we would rather be a patriot, a politician who protects national interests. Viktor Orbán could be a model for the EU on how to protect its own population.

Macron still insists on the botched vaccine procurement from Brussels. However, Viktor Orbán was well aware that EU vaccine procurement was stalling. It also ordered Chinese and Russian vaccines, so Hungary has the highest proportion of vaccinated people in the European Union - French historian Kevin Bossuet expressed his opinion in Kossuth Rádió's Vasárnapi Újság program.

Bossuet said that he has not yet been vaccinated because currently only people over 55 are vaccinated in France. Despite the fact that he is a teacher, he does not get vaccinated, even though the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, has repeatedly said how important it is that civil servants, teachers and police officers also have access to vaccines.

Schools have been open since September. The president of the republic did not want to close them until a week ago. Thus, primary schools are now closed for three weeks and high schools for a month.

Macron insists on the failed Brussels procurement

Teachers are also afraid and want to get vaccinated, but they don't know how. According to Bossuet, this is because France insists on the EU quota and there is not enough vaccine. Macron sticks to this and does not order vaccines from the East. "And this is outrageous, because if he had done it, a much larger percentage of the population would have been vaccinated," said the historian.

" Viktor Orbán again clearly saw that the union was slow and lagging behind the processes. He also ordered Chinese and Russian vaccines, so Hungary is among the most vaccinated in the EU today. More than 3 million people have been vaccinated, nearly a third of the population, in France this number is half of that number. In other words, it is disturbing that if we follow the union, we cannot protect the citizens. Macron makes the mistake of playing European. In such a situation, we would rather be a patriot, a politician protecting national interests, who orders vaccines outside of Brussels, " said Kevin Bossuet.

He added: There is no good or bad vaccine, Chinese or Russian are also good. "We also have a discussion about these, but politics should not be involved in this. Of course, President Macron doesn't like Putin, that's why he doesn't buy the Russian vaccine, but in such a situation, you should forget about scolding the vaccine, it's stupid."

At the moment, there is only one way and that is vaccination, everyone must be vaccinated as quickly as possible, this is the only way to get out of the crisis. When the president of the republic is against all this, it certainly raises questions.

The vaccination process is interrupted

Kevin Bossuet said that in France the criterion is related to age. First, people over 75 were vaccinated, then over 70, then over 65, and now over 55. However, since there is not enough vaccine, everything is very complicated. At the same time, they also vaccinate younger people with special diseases, but for example, if we look at a 40-year-old teacher who is in constant contact with young people or children, we see that a different strategy is needed.

Macron always talks on television about the arrival of the vaccine, but it never comes. He says that everyone will get it by the end of the summer, but we don't believe that. 66 million people live here, it is the seventh power in the world and we cannot fight against Covid effectively enough.

At the beginning of the epidemic, there were not enough masks, and then there were not enough needles, " said Bossuet.

France is the country of Pasteur, the country of vaccination, but we are unable to produce our own vaccine. Great power status is already a thing of the past, this is rather a period of decadence. But the same is the case with the union, we can clearly see its helplessness. They said the borders would be closed, but they aren't.

France is slowly losing its sovereignty and subordinating everything to Brussels

he added.

There are no concrete figures for migrants, it is not known how many there are or when they will receive vaccinations. A county near Paris officially has a population of 1.6 million, but it is actually estimated at 2.5 million. They can also receive vaccinations over the age of 55, but this is precisely the group that underestimates the regulations. According to the historian, we only have to look at the Paris metro to see how many of them travel without masks. " The health of the French living here is clearly at risk, " Bossuet opined.

The accusation of anti-vaccination serves to cover up insufficient performance

" There is another thing that is often brought up about the French, whether we are anti-vaccination in general. I don't agree with that either. 5-10 percent of the population says this, they consider all kinds of vaccinations dangerous. Today, they can also be convinced, since we see that only the vaccine helps against the coronavirus, " said Kevin Bossuet.

Macron tried to cover up the insufficient measures in the field of health care by making the French suspicious: they do not want to vaccinate themselves. " It's not like that. The French want to vaccinate themselves and ask the president of the republic to do this as soon as possible, with as many vaccines as possible, " the historian said, then added:

Viktor Orbán could be a model for the EU on how to protect its own population”.

He closed the borders when he had to. Instead of some journalists constantly pulling him down and criticizing him, they could now use him as an example. In your country, more than 30 percent of the population is already vaccinated, which is the second most vaccinated nation in the EU. " Finally, a president is doing something for his people in this crisis, " said the historian.
