Logan will start the course in March 2022, during which he will be trained as an explosive detection dog.

The National Guard's fireman's regiment shared Logan's Christmas story on its Facebook page. The Belgian Shepherd was born about a year and a half ago at a Hungarian breeder. The animal ended up in a settlement in Nógrád County with a farmer who abused it. The staff of one of the animal protection foundations took the dog, which was in bad condition, from the site in the summer.

In the national defense video, Mónika Janicki, the director of the Rex Dog Home Foundation, said that the Belgian shepherd rescued from an abusive environment was handed over to them in August. Lilla Pénzes, the animal caretaker of the Rex Dog Kennel Foundation, added: she has never seen a dog that came out of the state of mind it entered their Budapest facility in as fast as Logan - practically in two days.

When the dog became a searcher for an owner, an inquiry was received from the MH 1st Honvéd Tűzszerész and Hadihajós Erred, according to which they would like to see and test the dog. First, Staff Sergeant Balázs Németh, the regiment's training non-commissioned officer, examined Logan and took him to the unit's premises for a 30-day fitness test. Staff Sergeant Balázs Németh said that during the test period, they assessed whether Logan has the necessary skills and whether his personality is suitable for serving as an explosives detection dog in the future. For example, in a stimulus-rich environment, in shopping malls, their behavior and behavior patterns were observed in various generated situations. They checked whether he was afraid of heights or depths, different types of soil. They also observed how it reacts to noise in an urban environment. Logan took the obstacles very well, he proved to be suitable to start the training, it was explained in the video.

Logan, who was previously abused, will start the course in March 2022, after which he will become an explosive detection dog. Logan is spending Christmas this year with the Hungarian Armed Forces in a loving and caring environment.
