A new tender will be launched on January 17 for all companies that suffered damage from Brexit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced on his social media page.

Péter Szijjártó's announcement, many European companies, including many Hungarian ones, suffered losses due to Brexit. In the fall, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced a tender for the support of these companies, in which 37 companies received HUF 10.2 billion in support for the implementation of investments, he wrote, adding that with the help of the support, investments of HUF 19 billion will be realized.

The winning companies - which represent many industries, from the food industry to the machinery industry to telecommunications - use the grants to purchase new equipment resulting in technological development, infrastructural and real estate development, production license or know-how acquisition, information technology development, and developments that reduce energy consumption.

In view of the success of the first call , the ministry will launch the second round of the Brexit tender, this time with a budget of HUF 12 billion , the minister pointed out, explaining that the amount of support can be the amount of the proven damage, but a maximum of two billion forints, and the intensity of the support is micro- and 70 percent for small companies, 60 percent for medium-sized companies, and 50 percent for large companies.

You have 30 days to submit the application. The aim of the ministry is to ensure that the entire source of the Brexit Adaptation Reserve enters the bloodstream of the economy as quickly as possible, offsetting export losses caused by Brexit, the post reads.
