According to the testimony obtained by Magyar Nemzet, Csaba Horváth, the socialist mayor of Zugló, is the person who, after asking for half of the profit realized from the district's parking revenues for himself and his partner, demanded and received three million forints three more times separately. In return, he offered to thank him if he was elected mayor. The sums of the XIV. a manager of a district parking company handed it over at a cafe on Kálvin tér, the newspaper reports.

Magyar Nemzet obtained some details of the voluminous suspect's confession of Zsolt Fuzik (former IT director of the BKV, currently involved in a tax fraud case). The man shared important information with the investigators in the corruption case involving the MSZP mayor of Zugló, Csaba Horváth. The confession reveals a detailed picture of who, when, where and how much bribe money could have been received.

According to the statement of the Central Investigative Prosecutor General's Office (KNYF), in 2016 Csaba Horváth - who was then a member of the Metropolitan Assembly - and his partner in Zugló searched for a company to operate the planned paid parking system, from which they demanded half of their profits. KNYF also reports that "in addition to all this, in September 2017, a local politician approached the same company saying that in exchange for HUF 3 million per month, he would not use his influence against the company in the case. In connection with this, the suspect took HUF 3 million in cash on at least three occasions."

Based on the excerpts of the confession obtained by the newspaper, the local politician who asked for three million forints on three occasions may also be mayor Csaba Horváth.

Regarding the transfer of the money, Fuzik testified as follows:

I personally gave the money to both of them in cash

said Csaba Horváth and his partner. He emphasized: "I am sure that no one else was involved in handing over the money but me."

Fuzik told the investigative authorities that SIS Parking Kft. used the bribe money by setting up fake invoices.

This process ended in the fall of 2019, until now [...] I gave Csaba Horváth 3-4 times a total of approx. 10-12 million forints. Csaba Horváth came by car to the Café Company on Múzeum utca near Kálvin tér, where I gave him the money. He also said that if he becomes mayor, he will return this separately, that I also gave him money, which was the basic agreement

Fuzik told the authorities. Magyar Nemzet knows that another socialist politician is also involved in the case.

The scandal broke out on Wednesday morning, when the authorities searched the Zugló mayor's office, the Zuglói Közzigógiði Nonprofit Kft. and the home of MSZP mayor Csaba Horváth. The Central Investigative General Prosecutor's Office interrogated the district leader and a fellow politician as suspects in connection with influence peddling and other crimes. According to the news, Horváth did not testify and filed a complaint against the suspicion. In his statement about the case, the politician refers to himself as a victim of the "regime".

According to press reports, the case is based on the fact that in the summer of 2021, the NAV deployment unit, with the help of the Anti-Terror Center, raided eighty locations across the country on suspicion of budget fraud committed by a criminal organization. At that time, thirty-five people were interrogated, and three suspects were immediately arrested. According to the suspicion, fictitious invoices worth HUF 19 billion were issued by SYS IT Services Kft. and thirty other economic companies belonging to the company. One of the people involved in this case is Zsolt Fuzik, who, as you can see, is also involved in the case of Csaba Horváth. According to the suspicion, HUF 4 billion in damage may have been caused to the budget.
