On March 21, 2022, the police officers on duty arrested a total of 323 border violators and prevented 563 people from entering the territory of our country illegally.

In the Bács-Kiskun county border section, the police arrested a total of 92 border violators in 9 cases. In Csongrád-Csanád county, the patrols arrested a total of 221 border violators in 30 cases, in Baranya county, 1 in the outskirts of Mohács, in Győr-Moson-Sopron county, in the administrative areas of Kópháza, Nagycenk and Hegyeshalom, 9 illegal migrants were arrested.

During the inspection, the detained illegal migrants claimed to be Afghan, Syrian, Somali, Algerian, Pakistani, Lebanese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Egyptian and Turkish citizens, however, they could not credibly prove their identity or the legality of their stay in Hungary. The police escorted them back to the temporary border security checkpoint in accordance with the current Hungarian legislation.

In the last 24 hours, the police prevented a total of 563 people from illegally entering the territory of our country in 21 cases. In Bács-Kiskun county, 63 people in 3 cases, while in Csongrád-Csanád county, 500 people in 18 cases.

In Hungary, in the last 24 hours, criminal proceedings were initiated against 2 people for human smuggling, 2 people for forgery of public documents, and 5 people for illegal border crossing.
