About

Ferenc Deák was looking for his hat in the foreground on his way home from the Libertarian Club, because he couldn't see it where he had put it. As he looks for it, he looks at a representative standing next to him, János Besze , on whose head he sees his hat. Ferenc Deák says:

"János, this is my hat!"

János Besze takes the hat off his head, sees that it is not his and says:

"It's true brother, we're about the same head."

When Deák says:

"Maybe around, but not inside."

The bell

Cardinal Haynald , who was awarded the title of Archbishop of Carthage and then became Archbishop of Kalocsa in 1867, is associated with the following anecdote.

IX. Pius assigned it to himself in 1864. Haynald arrived in Rome in the morning. The pope and his council of sages had been debating since morning about which instrument produced the most beautiful melody. There were those who praised the music of the harp, others of the violin, many praised the piano, but they could not come to an agreement on the matter.

At noon, the Florentine cardinal's secretary entered the door, who was of the opinion that the most beautiful music is the sound of the bell calling for lunch. They all agreed with this and everyone sat down at the table satisfied.

It is as far away as Makó from Jerusalem

The king was surprised and asked his minister where he was in a hurry. To which came the quick answer: - Learn to swim, Your Highness!

The King in the Hat and the Salvation

A Hungarian high priest repaired the road through his property. He was just inspecting the last works when II. József accompanied him in a carriage. He stopped the procession, got out and said:

"Most Reverend Sir, I suspect that this road does not lead to heaven, despite the fact that you have spent so much money on this road."

"I'm sure of that too." - answers the high priest - I would be very surprised if it led you there, since your majesty also drives there.
